This will be one of the most interesting gigs for its power / price, the strength of its 580 hp and 754 Nm of torque developed by a V8 6.2-liter LSA. Obviously we will find the same techniques and aerodynamic modifications already seen the ZL1 Coupe, such as new bumpers, new trim and a braking system designed ad hoc.
The ZL1 Convertible will also receive a series of interventions in order to balance the torsional rigidity and better manage power by strengthening the chassis, adding new formats for transmission and a bar in the front. The car is expected to hit 295kph and archive 0-60 in 4sec for the manual version and 3.9s for the automatic version.
Among the most interesting technological endowments, we find the magnetic ride system for the management of shock, the Performance Traction Management for traction control, launch control and the integration of the ESP. The cut will be a candidate for the 2012 model year, while the convertible will be for the 2013 model year, at least for the North American market. We have not specific information for Europe where the Camaro is just arrived with great fanfare. The ZL1 will be available on 2012 spring but enthusiasts waiting for the convertible version will probably wait until 2013.
